I have started this blog to share my health and fitness ideas and things that I have learned with you. There is no specific theme (besides health and fitness in general) so I am just going to go with what is currently on my mind. Since it is the beginning of January, I thought I would begin my blog by sharing with you my own personal resolutions for 2012!
I think the first one is probably on the majority of peoples' lists: get to the gym more! Even though I am a personal trainer and I do work in a gym I still have issues getting to the gym on those lazy days. My goal is to be working out 6 days a week in January because I will be at the gym working 6 days a week anyways!
My second resolution is to learn to cook/eat healthier. I think that these two should go hand in hand because even though I don't eat too terribly I would eat a lot healthier if I knew how to cook my own healthy meals instead of always choosing what is most convenient. I also include in this category alcohol! The holidays were fun, but now it's time to start remembering how many calories are in alcohol again (A LOT).
My third resolution is to do well in school! I'm in my last semester before I graduate and it's time to pick it up a notch. I've never gotten terrible grades in school, but I know that I definitely half-assed my last semester and I know I can do better. No more procrastinating!
My last resolution is not to take things forgranted. Sometimes I get distracted by stress and anything bad that may be happening in my life and forget about all the good things. I want to spend more time focussing on everything (and everyone) good in my life!
